The Music Behind Ballyhoo

Just a little video showing what the guys did with the music, this is their first and only run through of the song as each track was recorded seperately to make sure it could be put over the video properly, Phil had only just spent an hour learning it before playing this and Cooper decided to make it even harder for him by jamming at the end.

Shot on the same camera as Ballyhoo was but a really different end result. I am getting better at working on the post of footage and also on exporting it and uploading to YouTube. At the end of the day I think the footage looks great even if the guys in it don't think their standards are up there yet, I still think it sounds great too.

Bodge Bmx; Ballyhoo 2008

This is an updated version of the Ballyhoo video that was made in the summer of 2007. This version has had it's own music written for it and has also had about 5 seconds of extra footage added in.

It has also been redone in Adobe After Effects to a much better standard than the original Ballyhoo, with changes only being made in Adobe Premiere Elements.

The reasons for these changes being made is that the video was spotted on YouTube by the Extreme Channel. They have said that they would like to broadcast it on their show, Ex-Tube.

Ballyhoo on Ex-Tube
So it seems that what started out as a fun little project to get away from the boredom of long university summers, how now become quite a gift.

Ballyhoo, the little film I spent a day filming on my little digi-cam has been spotted on You-Tube by the producer of Ex-Tube, which is a show on the Extreme Sports Channel. It's pretty great news in itself anyway because it means that a whole host of new people will see it but I also told them about the skate film we were doing.

And this is the response I got;
"Skate film sounds good, keep me posted, we may be able to screen it, either in its entirety or a section of it to help promote."

Which is not definitive proof that it will but it's a start at least, and who knows if they do a lot of people that turned down the opportunity to work with us on this piece will wish they hadn't, well that's what I would hope.

I will post up the date and time that it will be appearing on the show.
